Our Wines

We have a simple belief that the land is the most important factor to producing an expressive wine. We treat it with kid gloves. We dry farm allowing the vines to send their roots deep for water, extracting intense flavors from our Laurelwood soil and underlying volcanic Jory soil. We use organic farming practices to keep nature in balance closer to the surface. Means more work for us. But we think it shows in the quality of the wine.

We currently ship direct-to consumer in the following states:

2018

Estate Sparkling Brut

Made in the Champenoise method, this sparkling wine is a combination of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from our estate grapes. Went into secondary fermentation in the bottle in April of 2019 and has been gathering flavors for almost 4 years before being disgorged in February 2023. Its sister 2017 vintage was chosen as Wine & Spirits’ ‘Year’s Best US Sparklers’.

Brut Rosé

Demand was so great for the 2020 Brut Rosé we decided to do it all over again. This 2021 Brut Rosé sparkler will delight the senses. Made from two of our Pinot Noir clones, Dijon 115 and Pommard. Fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak for freshness & vitality.

Pairs oh so well with spicy foods.

2022

Brut Rosé

Ruby red grapefruit and ultra fresh raspberry aromatics delight the senses leading to elegant mouth covering palate, with a touch of brioche from the contact of the lees during fermentation. Grapes were picked earlier to promote structure expected from a traditional Brut Rose. Saignée method used to adjust for color. A wonderful comparison with its sister 2021 vintage!

Estate Pinot Gris

Coming from our superb north-facing 27 year old Block 2 vines, this Pinot Gris was fermented longer and slower to preserve the unique characteristics of the old vines. Peach, nectarine, white rose pedals, and mouth watering textures make this refreshing wine surprisingly rich at the same time.

Touch of Gold Estate Chardonnay

Named after our horse palomino-coated Missouri Foxtrotter, Touch, whose official name is Lucky Touch of Gold. This estate Chardonnay was made from several of our estate Chardonnay clones. Barrel fermented with minimal stirring. This a textural wine reflecting the ripe characteristics of the vintage restrained by an early pick in order to maintain balance and acidity. Again a wine that can be enjoyed now but will improve with age.

2021

Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir

Once again, made in a lighter Cote de Provence style. Comprised of two Pinot Noir clones,  Dijon 115 and Pommard selected for freshness and vitality. Barrel-fermented in 60% neutral oak and 40% stainless steel.  Pairs wonderfully with any spicy food.

Only 110 cases made.

Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir

Fermented two ways: in stainless steel at colder temperatures to preserve freshness and fruitfulness. And in neutral oak barrels at higher temps to help promote richness.

Combination yields a fresh, acid driven, elegant and vibrant Rose. Flavors of strawberry, kiwi, and watermelon rind are all prevalent in this wine.

Symphony Pinot Noir

Designed as an all-star wine of the Willamette Valley. Sourced from three prized vineyards in three nested AVA’s of the WV: Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton and McMinnville. 60% Pommard brings an incredible nose to this 2019 but already delicious wine. Our Commitment to Environmental Packaging

All of our packaging materials for shipping are recyclable. We use corrugated recycled bottle inserts to hold shipped bottles safe, never styrofoam. We do not use plastic tape to close our packages but rather paper kraft tape. And of course, our outer shipping boxes and glass are completely recyclable.
For carry-out at the winery we now are using corrugated fold-up boxes with handles instead of cloth wine bags. Wine bags started out as a great idea but the reality is most people end up with so many they end up throwing them out.
